Prayer for Protection
According to Your Word in Ephesians 6:13-17,
I put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, I may be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. I stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, I take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Also, based on Psalm 91:
- Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
- I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
- Surely he will save me from the fowler’s snare (human enemies) and from the deadly pestilence (disease).
- He will cover me with his feathers, and under his wings I will find refuge: his faithfulness will be my shield and rampart.
- I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
- nor the plague that destroys at midday.
- A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me.
- I will only observe with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
- If I say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and I make the Most High my dwelling,
- no harm will overtake me, no disaster will come near my house (property, possessions).
- For he will command his angels concerning me to guard me in all my daily activities;
- They will lift me up in their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a stone (accidents).
- I will tread on the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent (defeat the enemy).
- ”Because she loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue her; I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name.
- She will call on me, and I will answer her; I will be with her in trouble, I will deliver her and honor her.
- With long life I will satisfy her and show her my salvation.”
Holy Lord, I ask that You protect me against attacks of the enemy. Empower my guardian angel(s) to provide safety for me and my house and household, or damaging natural occurrences. I thank You and praise Your Name. All glory and honor belong to You.
