A New Creature
God’s Spirit resides inside those of us who believe in Jesus for our salvation. His desire and pleasure is to experience the world in partnership with us. His Life is intricately experienced through every Believer’s unique character and personality, and their unique set of earthly circumstances. That is why we welcome Him to walk with us daily as we encounter everything each day, whether it is a delight or a challenge. There is never a need to beg or plead for Him to help us through our difficulties because He is eager to do it. Likewise, we share our times of ease and comfort with Him as we would with an intimate companion. This in no way is meant to drag Him down to our level and belittle Him. He will always be God, High and Lofty, Sovereign Over All. But God sent Jesus to earth to teach, and to die, so that, just as Eve was taken from Adam’s side, a new creation could emerge from the Blood that flowed from Jesus’ side as He hung on the cross. Then He rose again and sent the Holy Spirit to form and shape us collectively into a Bride for the Son. God loves families!
The whole Christian experience is a matter of using God’s Word and cooperating with the Holy Spirit to be progressively transformed. We become increasingly and consistently more conscious of the spiritual realm and align ourselves with God’s purposes.
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Eph. 3:20
