President Trump

Prayer for President Trump

Lord, You are worthy of all praise, honor, and devotion. We are amazed that even in Your awesome greatness Your desire is to adopt us into Your family and call us Your children.

Now, Holy Father, in accordance with I Timothy 2:1-2, we come to You to ask that You grant our requests in regards to President Trump. Lord, this man seems to be Satan’s primary focus in the world right now. The Adversary’s intent is the downfall of the president and the country, but may the president continue to stand firm and bravely in the face of his foes (Ps.110:1-2). Grant him protection from accusing tongues, (Ps.35, Ps.64, Ps.140) and may every tongue that accuses him be refuted (Is.54:17). We ask that those who rise up against him one way will flee seven ways (Deut.28:7). Lord, scripture says that what is blessed by God cannot be cursed (Num.23:8,20). So, may every curse spoken against him be turned to blessing.

We ask that You give him supernatural insight and understanding of the issues before him (Eph.1:17-18) and that he would have ingenious solutions to every problem. May he always turn to You for guidance, knowing that You watch over and care deeply about all that concerns this country. He is merely a temporary steward, though a chosen instrument to accomplish Your will. May he be sensitive to the leading of Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, give him wise counselors (Prov.11:14) and the supernatural gift of discernment in order to know whose advice to listen to and whose to disregard.

According to Prov.21:1, a king’s heart is in your hand and You can turn it whichever way You want to, so we ask that You align his presidency with Your will and purpose for this nation. We ask that You guide him in decisions and initiatives not only for this country but also in matters of foreign policy. We ask that the nations of the world would unite in amicable relationships.

Lord, may President Trump continue to exhibit the fear of the Lord and not the fear of man (Acts 4:19). We thank You for his boldness in referencing God as sovereign over our nation.

We ask for his complete salvation, if he doesn’t already have it. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Bless his marriage and every member of his family. May they remain in loving and respectful relationship with one another. We ask for Christ-like character development in the president. Grant him humility before You. We ask that You protect him from illness, accident, and especially any attempt to harm him physically. May he remain in good physical and mental health beyond the natural age of decline. Grant him the promise of Is.40:31, which says,

“But those who trust in the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall

soar on wings like eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Lord, we pray that You bless President Trump and bless this country through him (Deut.28:28). All in Jesus’ Name. Thank You!
